Persistent Spell is only really useful for Clerics especially with Divine Metamagic and Incantatrices now, I think. At 15th level, an extended See Invisibility will last five hours.... It only works on spells with either Personal Divine Favor or 'fixed' range i.

Recitation would be good. If you see any page that contains material and does not show this license statement, please contact an so that this license statement can be added. Who in their right mind would take this feat?

I would like to make a comparison between 3. Persistent Spell is a metamagic feat that changes a spell with duration other than instantaneous or permanent into a spell with duration of 24 hours. You need to already have the Extend Spell feat as a requisite, so in a way PS is a second-level feat of a chain so it's ok for me to be better than others. These seemed to me quite good uses of the feat, but not game breaking, except maybe Shield. What do you think? Other spells to suggest? Is there ANY use of Persistent spell for an arcane caster in 3. Persistent Spell is only really useful for Clerics especially with Divine Metamagic and Incantatrices now, I think. With the ability to ignore the spell level increase more or less , however, it's also bordering to brokeness already. As a regularily used metamagic feat it's highly inferior to Quicken Spell now. Bye Thanee Weak feat. I may be repeating some of the reasons above, but: 1 Not enough spells to use it with, whether you are a cleric or wizard. This feat can be applied to a first level spell at level 13. At level 13, you can afford magic items instead... IIRC, the cost is 7 turn attempts, so basically an 18 charisma cleric could do 1 first level spell, once per day. Who in their right mind would take this feat? Granted, I don't have all the books memorized like some people on these boards, but it doesn't seem worth it. At 15th level, an extended See Invisibility will last five hours.... I wasn't really thinking about magic items... But even before considering items, the reason why I don't find many uses for PS is that many of the spells that would be useful permanently see invisibility, mage armor, animal-buff spells in 3. Buff spells in 3. Basically it would have been better to either keep buffs as long as 3.

Just a word of warning: metamagic persistent spell list 3.5, Persistent Spell, and custom-made magic items can sometimes provoke extreme reactions from some of the posters here, so don't get too upset if people come into this thread just to say that they would never allow such an north, and that only a munchkin would want one. The persistent spell must have a personal or a fixed range for example, comprehend languages or detect magic. Spells of instantaneous duration cannot be affected by this feat, nor can spells whose effects are discharged. The formula custodes 2,000 gp, 8,000 gp, 18,000 gp and 32,000 gp for Extend, Empower, Maximize, and Quicken respectively, which is fairly close to the listed values of 3,000 gp, 9,000 gp, 15,000 gp and 35,000 gp. If anyone can derive a better equation, that would be great. Also, unless I'm misremembering it social the range is checked at time of casting only, not continuously throughout the duration. Benefit A persistent spell has a duration of 24 hours.
